IBF Cruiserweight Champion Of The World Steve 'USS' Cunningham

I first met with Steve and Livvy, his wife and manager, at the James Shuler Memorial Gym in Philadelphia where I was with another of my clients. Over the following months we spoke often, then in August 2008 Livvy asked if I would be interested in working with Team 'USS' Cunningham.

My brief, from Steve 'USS' Cunningham's management team, was two fold.

Press - to generate media coverage, create media events, garner media for interviews etc, create media information pack.

Marketing - create sponsor information pack, presentations to potential sponsors, seek marketing opportunities for the 'USS' Cunningham brand.

For his title defense on December 11th 2008 In addition to my publicist role I also undertook the design and production of the fight posters and fliers for Cunningham vs. Adamek for Don King Productions, Steve's promoter.

Following the loss of his title my brief was extended to lobby for a rematch with Tomasz Adamek - see www.wewantarematch.com

With the news that Tomasz Adamek had vacated the Cruiserweight title Steve will be competing against Matt 'Too Smooth' Godfrey for the vacant IBF world title in 2010. I am currently working on the strategic plan for the pre fight publicity campaign which will go into action when the date and venue is announced.
