The Pretty Young Things

The Pretty Young Things are a Cambridge based Punk/Indie Rock Band.

I first met with Nate, the drummer of The Pretty Young Things, back in the summer of 2007. The band was going through a transitional period, which included two new members joining them and the recording of a new album. Nate was most concerned at the lack of gigs they were getting, 4 in the previous 18 months, so I agreed to help them gain some. Firstly I created an info pack, and a webpage which included a jukebox of MP3s of their tracks, which was sent to venue's and promoters in both the UK and America. The response was immediate with 12 gigs booked in less than 3 months.

Following the success with gaining gigs Nate and Sam (The vocalist) then asked if I could gain them more airtime for their new single. I agreed and produced a modified version of the venue info pack to create a press pack. I then contacted radio stations and DJs world wide and sent them the press pack plus a CD of five tracks. Within days the single was being aired worldwide.

For 2008 I arranged a further gigs in both the UK and America as well as linked them with MoshPit an on-line live music TV channel. During this period problems beset the band with further line-up changes, creative issues regarding direction of the band etc. These problems were never resolved and the The Pretty Young Things disbanded.
