My involvement with Bruce started following an article I was researching at Gleason's Gym London in February 2009. Bruce and I spoke often about his proposed comeback. Late the following month I showed Bruce the article I had written, after which Bruce then commissioned myself to undertake the publicty for his comeback fight at Prizefighter 7 - The Cruiserweights in May 2009.
In addition to preparing his press pack and press releases I also arranged various interviews with newspapers and boxing publications.
As Bruce was looking to continue his comeback, following Prizefighter 7 - The Cruiserweights, I contacted promoter Kathy Duva at Main Events in New Jersey, as we have a very good working relationship, to enquire if she would be interested in Bruce being on the undercard of Adamek vs. Godfrey (later changed to Adamek vs. Gunne) IBF Cruiserweight title fight in July '09, which she was.
However following his loss, to 'Buster' Keeton at Prizefighter 7 Bruce and his manager/trainer John Rooney Jnr decided to seek a lower profile fight. Unfortunately about a month later Bruce decided to retire as a suitable 'warm-up' fight couldn't be secured at the time.
